March 5, 2016 FWF Rapidan River-NO SNOW IMPACT!

Hi–Lets meet host RedB at junction pool on Rapidan River on the mountain at 10am(or 9:30am at Criglersville Elementary school in Criglersville), Saturday, March 5. Bring hip waders, Mr Rapidan#12-dry, copper john, prince nymphs, woolly buggers, water & snacks.

March 2, 2016 Chapter Meeting

Hi–Lets meet at 7:30pm, Wednesday, March 2 at Sun Trust bank in Warrenton. A summary of fishing show is planned. The speaker is Michael Cherwek on: “Disappearing Wild Atlantic Salmon”. Dinner is at 6pm at Faang’s restaurant. Also, bring your check for $90. for Mossy Creek guided event reservation.

February 20, 2016 Fishing Show

Hi–Chapter annual fishing show is Saturday, Feb 20 from 9am-4:30pm  at Fauquier County Fairgrounds in Warrenton, off Meetz Road. Lets support our chapter by selling raffle tickets, volunteering for several hours at show/attend show, or attend show as visitor.

Volunteers(~8) are also needed on Friday, Feb 19 from 11am to 12:30pm to set up tables, chairs, and lecture room.

April 2, 2016 Trout Heritage Day/Rapidan TU Kid’s Fishing Day

Our 36^th annual Rapidan Trout Unlimited (TU) Kid’s Fishing Day will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2016, on the Rose River at Graves Mountain Lodge in Syria, Virginia as the major activity of Graves Mountain Lodge’s Heritage Day event. The Rapidan Chapter of Trout Unlimited, Graves Mountain Lodge and the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries (DGIF) are again partnering to provide this exciting and educational day for the kids. The event is also supported by the 2015 Virginia Wildlife eStore (www.ShopDGIF.com) Grant Program through a partnership between DGIF and the Wildlife Foundation of Virginia.
