The Rapidan Chapter TU meeting was called to order by Kevin Daniels/Pres. at 7:30pm on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at Sun Trust Bank in Warrenton. We introduced ourselves around the room, and 20 people were present. One new member from “Lake of the Woods” was present (Bob Fish) & was introduced to Danny Delongis & John O’Toole/Lake of the Woods members.
The Christmas party is at Kevin & Barbara Daniels house in Nokesville at 6:00pm, Saturday, December 5, 2009. If you plan to come, email Kevin (2educ8rs@gmail.com) and bring a side dish (veggie, snacks, or dessert).

The Rapidan TU Membership meeting was called to order by Rob Paul/Pres. at 7:30pm on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at Sun Trust Bank in Warrenton. After introductions around the room, the speaker, Robert Thomas/Richmond/FFVA was introduced by Fred Kallmeyer/Programs. The topic was “Shad Fishing”. Rob spoke about his 20 years of shad fly fishing/knowledge, primarily on the James River. He passed around the room his coveted boxes of hand-tied bright colored attractor shad flies. The meeting was called to order by Rob Paul/Pres. at 7:30pm on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at Sun Trust Bank in Warrenton,VA. After introductions around the room(25 people present), the ‘Member of the Year’ award was given to Larry Willoughby, for outstanding support as Hatches editor for the past four years. Rapidan TU membership is now at 295.
Rob gave the financial report for Doug Farmer/Treas.(on travel). The account balance is $12, 497.76, with a shortfall of ~$6700 due to fishing show cancellation/blizzard. Continue Reading »

Comments (0) The membership meeting was called to order by Pres. Rob Paul. He thanked everyone for coming tonight, and then led introductions around the room. There were 26 people present, 4 of whom were new and interested in fishing. Three new email addresses were added to chapter distribution list.
- Doug Farmer gave the Treasurer’s Report, with a balance of $10,384. The VCTU mailer Montana & rod raffle ticket sales for fishing show were going well this year, especially the rod raffle tickets (3 premium rod prizes). He recommended that a self-addressed envelop be required by ticket requesters for next year, as some requests were illegible. Fred will implement next year. Continue Reading »
Hi All—The Rapidan TU meeting was convened by newly elected president Rob Paul at 7:30pm on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at Sun Trust bank in Warrenton, with 20 members present. After a friendly welcome by Rob & introductions around the room, there was one new member (Chad Abate) present.
Several awards were handed out by Rob:
- Kevin Daniels received a trout plaque for his outstanding performance as past President
- Judd Walls received a VCTU award for Rapidan TU best website
- Fred Kallmeyer received VCTU Certificate of Appreciation for supporting Rapidan TU.

At the June 3rd Rapidan Chapter meeting, Doug Farmer and Kevin Daniels provided pizza and beverages to the members at the start of the meeting held at the Sun Trust Bank in Warrenton. Fourteen member attended the meeting. After completing a short business agenda, Kevin Daniels read a letter to Marcia Woolman/TU Coordinator from Jimmy Graves about Heritage Day contributions, thanking her and the trout Unlimited members for their support of a very successful event. More than 700 kids participated in this year’s Heritage Day which is a new record. Continue Reading »
