The Annual Fishing Show is canceled due to sever weather.
Just letting you know that we’ve mustered 4 volunteers from the Chapter to act as stream monitors for this special event again this year, unfortunately, we weren’t able to sponsor a Chapter Team due to our financial situation. We’ll provide an update after the event.

Join us for our annual river bank cleanup on the Rapidan River hosted by Chris Murphy. Fred Kallmeyer will be sending out an email as the date approaches with additional information. Send Fred an email via the Contact Us page if you are interested in receiving the Rapidan Cleanup emails.
Those planning to attend should meet at the Criglersville Elementary School at 9am.
Join us at our chapter meeting on April 7, 2010, at the Sun Trust Bank in Warrenton. Our meeting will begin at 7:30 PM. Look forward to seeing you there. The topic of discussion for this meeting–”Shad Fishing” with Robert Thomas.
Join us for a Fish with a Friend day on the Conway River hosted by Andy Hollmas. Fred Kallmeyer will be sending out an email as the date approaches with additional information. Send Fred an email via the Contact Us page if you are interested in receiving the FWF emails.
Annually, The Rapidan Chapter partners with Graves Mountain Lodge for Kid’s/Heritage Day. Along a private section of the Rose River, several hundred trout are stocked solely for children under the age of 12 to experience the joy of fishing. Come join us on April 3 to support Kid’s Day and Heritage Day at Graves Mountain Lodge in Syria Virginia.
Volunteers should plan to meet at Graves Mountain Lodge between 8:00 and 8:30 AM.
The second FWF event is scheduled for the Robinson River at 10am on Wednesday, March 17, with Doug Farmer as host. Lets meet at general store in Syria on route 670. Bring TBD flies, water, snacks, hip waders, and ~ # 5wt fly rod. Doug & others are available for mentoring.

The first FWF event for 2010 is scheduled for 10am Saturday, March 6, 2010 on the Rapidan River, with Fred Kallmeyer as host. We will meet at the Criglersville, VA Elementary School. Bring dark nymphs, dark elk hair caddis(~size 14-16), water, snacks, hip waders, and ~ # 5wt. fly rod. Fred & others are available for fish mentoring.
